Domain

This is my new domain and currently under construction. Please bear with me, content should be up soon.
Why "slovenly artist", you ask? Well, those of you who are fellow Austen addicts will doubtless recognize the quote:

"I hope George was pleased with my designs. Perhaps they would have suited him as well had they been less elaborately finished; but an artist cannot do anything slovenly."

The quote comes from a letter to Cassandra Austen (Jane's sister), dated at Steventon, November 17, 1798. As my brain is definitely weighted on the right - though not politically - and I can be somewhat fastidious in my work whilst being none too pedantic otherwise, the quote suits me, and I enjoy the typical Austenesque tongue (planted firmly in the cheek, of course)! Given the wide array of peculiar artistic endeavours I pursue, this domain name was a foregone conclusion. Now you know.

The current layout, "Commedia", was inspired by the exhibit "The Great Parade - Portrait of the Artist as Clown". The central pieces are Picasso's "The Seated Harlequin", 1923 and Nadar and Tournachon's "Pierrot Surprisé", 1854-1955. I made the layout with PSP7, and I do my coding in Notepad. You really wanted to know that, didn't you? ;)

Version 2 (up from 09/2004 - 01/2005) was a sort of gothic grunge blend, featuring the hooge05_56, Hours in the Rain, and Aquiline fonts.
